26-year-old’s killing in Anantnag leaves a family in shock, and a circus troupe in fear
J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina meets family members of Deepak Kumar in Udhampur district on Tuesday. (PTI) Barely half an hour before he was shot dead by suspected militants in Kashmir’s Anantnag on Monday, 26-year-old Deepak Kumar had made a phone call to his home at Bilaspur village in Jammu’s Udhampur to inform his elder brother that he had sent Rs 3,000 to his family. Kumar had been working with a private circus troupe for nearly seven years. According to residents of Bilaspur village, he got married last year and his wife, Sakshi, is eight months pregnant. On Monday, Kumar and his colleagues were busy dismantling the troupe’s ‘Manoranjan Park’ in Anantnag, getting ready to shift the equipment to Kupwara where they intended to set up camp next. When it started raining, they went back inside a tent and watched the IPL final. Then, Kumar went out to fetch water in a plastic pan. http://www.gestionypoliticapublica.cide.ed...
